Officially I had 136 Intern'tnl wickets, but unofficially had one which was costliest, when I asked @anilkumble1074 bhai to not do tuktuk to offspinner & score his century quickly and he got out on 87. Sorry Anil Bhai, but congratulations on the half century today. Happy Birthday pic.twitter.com/WB3Tie73HD— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) October 17, 2020
Anil Kumble has numerous record to his name. He is the only Indian cricketer to have more than 600 dismissals under his name. Moreover, Kumble is only the second player in the history of cricket to take all 10 wickets in an innings.
In 1999, India faced Pakistan for the 2nd test match of the series at Feroz Shah Kolta Stadium, Delhi. Pakistan were chasing 420 target, Kumble showed pure domination and wrapped Pakistan innings at 207. He took all the 10 wickets. India won the match by 212 and Kumble was adjudged the man of the match.
Presently, Kumble is coaching Kings XI Punjab side. KXIP are last in the points table. If they want to qualify for the playoffs then Anil Kumble's men need to win all the remaining matches and hope permutations and combinations work in their favour.
