IPL 2020: Led by Shreyas Iyer the Delhi Capitals booked their place in the finals of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 2 in today's IPL match. This is the first time in history that a Delhi Capitals will be playing the final of IPL. It was an impressive all-round display by the team as the team finally overcame the Sunrisers Hyderabad challenge. Delhi Capitals will now play against the defending champions Mumbai Indians(MI) for the IPL 2020 title on November 10, 2020.
There is only one match left in the season but the race for Orange Cap and Purple Cap is still heating up for IPL 2020 Final tonight. Let’s take a look at the contenders for the Orange Cap and Purple Cap a given below.
Delhi Capitals(DC) had scored 189/3 against SRH in Qualifier 2 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Sunday with the help of Shikhar Dhawan and Stoinis as they scored 78 and 38 respectively. SRH did not have the best of starts as skipper Warner out early but they managed to stabilize the innings due to efforts from Mr. perfectionist Kane Williamson and Abdul Samad. However, SRH fell short of 17 runs and DC has won the match and made to their maiden IPL Final.

There is only one contender who can challenge KXIP skipper KL Rahul for the top position in IPL 2020 that will be DC opener, Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan scored 78 runs on Sunday to take his tally to 603 runs. Initially, he did not manage to get going but now he came back strongly after 2-3 early falls and become the consistent match-winner for his Delhi franchise.

He is now 67 runs behind KL Rahul and will have a chance to grab hold of that Orange Cap when he takes the field tonight in the IPL 2020 Final.

South African genuine quick Kagiso Rabada has led the list for the most no. wickets in the season with spectacular performances for DC this season. But he has faced stiff competition from MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has continued to push him. Rabada once again managed to get the hold of the Purple Cap from Bumrah after taking four wickets against SRH on Sunday.
The final will also be a match-up between two premier veteran pacers i.e. Bumrah and Rabada. Trent Boult is also there on the list but the chances of him winning the Cap are minimal.
