BBL 10 Playoffs, SYS vs PRS Qualifier Match Preview: The table-toppers Sydney Sixers will square off with Perth Scorchers in today's BBL Qualifier at Manuka Oval, Canberra. The match is all set to commence at 1:45 PM (IST). Here is our Sydney Sixers vs Perth Scorchers, Qualifier match preview, including pitch report & conditions, playing 11, injury updates in your Deam11 fantasy team are given below.
Sydney Sixers finished top of the leaderboard to continue a strong title defense by moving back above their arch-rivals Perth Scorchers (PRS), who they have already beaten in Canberra this season. Steve O’Keefe returned last time out and Jackson Bird bowled just one over before being replaced by X-factor subs Jake Ball.
Ball might start today, but he was too expensive with the ball. Mitchell Starc is not an option to replace them as he regains its full fitness now.
On the other hand, Perth Scorchers (PRS) would have finished top if they have had won their final league game but Mitchell Marsh’s blitz 54* off 26 deliveries came slightly too late as they managed to reach up to 175 for 6 replying to Brisbane Heat’s 181/7. The Scorchers were unchanged last time despite the defeat, their previous form should give the same playing XI in today's BBL Qualifier.
The Manuka Oval's pitch is expected to have a balanced level with equal support for batsmen and bowlers. Batsmen will enjoy the ball coming on to the bat and then hitting through the line. A total of around 180-190 will be enough to defend especially in the seaming conditions.
The sky is expected to be cloudy and the no chances of rain throughout the day. The temperature will be hovering around 24-27 degrees Celsius.
