Sri Lanka Squads for South Africa and England: Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) on Thursday has announced a 22-man squad for their upcoming Test series against South Africa and England. Dimuth Karunanratne has been named the captain of the Sri Lanka team. However, the Lankan team will be missing the services of their veteran all-rounder Angelo Mathews, who will not travel to South Africa due to his groin injury during the recently concluded Lankan Premier League.
Sri Lanka tour of South Africa will feature two Tests, kick-starting on the famous 'Boxing Day' in Pretoria. Karunanratne led side would reach South Africa on Saturday to play the first Test match against the Proteas. And the second will be in Johannesburg from January 3. Sri Lanka’s two-Test home series with England begins in Galle on January 14 next year.
