SunRisers Hyderabad IPL 2020 strength and Weakness: SunRisers Hyderabad is led by Australian International David Warner. The Hyderabad based franchise will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in their opening game of the season. Hyderabad have won one IPL title- 2016. They reached the finals in 2018 but were beaten by Chennai Super Kings. SunRisers Hyderabad have world-class players in their squad like- David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar etc. They would be aiming for their 2nd IPL title this season. Here we analyse the strengths and weaknesses of SunRisers Hyaderabd squad of Indian Premier League 2020.
SunRisers Hyderabad have the world best batsmen in their team. SRH star-studded batting line up consists of players like- David Warner, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey etc. who can easily win the match no matter whats the situation. David Warner and Manish Pandey usually start the innings for SRH. Williamson plays at number three position. SunRisers Hyderabad batting line up will play a significant role in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League. However, up to now SRH batting line up have struggled to score in the first two matches With Williamson Injured, more pressure is on Warner, Pandey and Bairstow shoulders.
Just like their batting line SRH bowling line up is equally good. They have world-renowned bowlers like- Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan who have the ability to bring out the team for adverse of situations. SunRisers Hyderabad bowlers have constantly made batsmen time worse at the crease and will be looking to continue doing the same in this season also. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan deadly duo is ready to demolish batsmen. Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar did their work in the previous matches, but lack of support from other bowlers cost two loses to SRH. Providing assist to Rashid and Bhuvneshwar is the need of the hour for SRH
All-rounders are an integral part of the shortest format of the game. They contribute both in batting as well in bowling. When it comes to SunRisers Hyderabad they have only three natural all-rounders in their squad and that too with minimal experience of playing at the big stage. In the 13th season of the Indian Premier League lack of good and experienced all-rounders have proved costly for SunRisers Hyderabad till now. If SRH need to bounceback from the defeats then All rounder department need to tight their belt and perform good in the upcoming matches.
SunRisers Hyderabad might have one of the best top-order batsmen in their team but when we scrutinise the middle order the team looked stumbled and lopsided. Apart from Wriddhiman Saha and Manish Pandey all other players are inexperienced. In matches where SRH top orders get out in initial overs, the pressure on middle over would be double folded which they might not able to handle properly. They would be too dependent on their top orders batsmen in IPL 2020. Pandey looked isolated in the first two match, without support from the other end he cannot do anything. SRH need to overcome this weakness if they want to climb up in the points table.
