Holder was unbeaten on 60, debutant Joshua da Silva not out at 25 after day three. The hosts are in a commanding position and just four wickets away from a series whitewash against the Windies.
At Stumps on Day 3, West Indies were 244/6, still lagging behind by 85 runs after being forced to (f/o) of 329 by New Zealand. From the Windies' point of view, these two will have to continue for a longer period if they've to stand a chance. Jason Holder along with the debutant Joshua Da Silva put a crucial 74-run stand for the seventh wicket to keep the visitors still alive in the game. At one stage, it was looking improbable after the disastrous fall of wickets at regular intervals. But Holder and Da Silva have batted well and still played some eye-catching shots, played and missed a few times but they have hung in there.
