Indian Premier League IPL 2021 Auction: A total of 292 players have been enlisted for the shortened auctions - 164 of them Indian and 125 overseas. There will also be three associate players in the auction. New Zealand's ruthless speedster Kyle Jamieson has grabbed eyeballs and has forced his way into the spotlight after some scintillating performances in international cricket. Jamieson has touted to have been one of the biggest names in today's auction. Jamieson goes past 10 crores within two-three minutes with an alarming pace and has overtaken Maxwell as well. Finally, the Kiwi young man goes to RCB's kitty, Kohli and co buy him for a massive INR 15 crores.

Having a strike rate of over 100 in all three formats, Jamieson has created waves in Kiwis domestic cricket circuit. His ability to pick up wickets with the new ball as well as the old one, coupled with his power-hitting abilities, makes him a hot pick in the auction.

KXIP released Glenn Maxwell, who has had a horror last season for KXIP, has sold to Virat Kohli's Men in Red. Therefore, Royal Challengers Bangalore have possessed skipper Kohli, de Villiers, Maxwell, and now they have Jamieson in their squad. Maxwell is picked up by RCB for a mammoth INR 14.25 cr.

The seven-foot-tall bowlers have played six Tests, two ODI, and four T20Is since making his international debut against India in February 2020, where he grabbed 4/39 including the big wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, and Hanuma Vihari. He has also scored 44 runs as well.
