MI chased down a stiff target of 164 runs set up by RCB in 19.1 overs. Jasprit Bumrah rattled the daunting batting order of the Virat's Men in Red after that Suryakumar Yadav made a bold statement as Mumbai Indians returned to winning ways with a crucial triumph over Royal Challengers in MI vs RCB Match 48 of the IPL 2020 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Wednesday.

Mumbai Indians consolidated their top spot with the fine victory as the team became the first to reach to the 16 points this season of Dream11 IPL 2020. Mumbai Indians have pretty much sealed their playoffs but mathematically they are still not there yet. With this dominating win over RCB, MI goes top of the table and now the focus will be on to maintain the winning run and be in the top 2 to take benefit of the first two spots.

Earlier, Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) posted 164/6 in his 20 overs with the help of their opener Devdutt Paddikal and young Josh Philippe, who gives them a solid start to his RCB side. Devdutt Padikkal notched up a gritty half-century (74 off 45 balls) and laid the foundation of a respectable total of 164/6.

For MI, Bumrah bowled brilliantly and he was the pick of the bowlers with his impressive figure of  3/14 in his full quota of four overs. Pollard bowls just one over and picks up the key wicket of de Villiers and change the entire complication of the match. Rahul Chahar and Boult also grab 1-1 wickets each.
