The 13th edition of the Dream11 IPL will begin on September 19, 2020, with defending champions Mumbai Indians(MI) taking on their old arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening clash of the tournament. CSK will be missing their veteran pacer Lasith Malinga, who does not participate in the upcoming session of Vivo IPL 2020 due to personal reasons and has been replaced with Australian fast-bowler James Pattinson.
On the other hand, off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina will not be involved with CSK for this session of IPL 2020 due to their personal reasons.

Quinton De Kock: For Mumbai Indians, The ''Hitman'' Rohit Sharma and the South African limited-overs skipper Quinton De Kock is one of the consistently performed pairs for MI as they performed and proved themselves at the top of the order. The duo was the same opening pair responsible for MI’s 15 out of 16 games in IPL 2019. De Kock has scored 1456 runs in the IPL at a strike rate of 131.29 and has recorded 10 fifties and a century. The MI Skipper is best at the top with Quinton de Kock around and plays such match-winning knocks together on several occasions for MI.
Kieron Pollard: Mumbai's star all-rounder Kieron Pollard arrived in Abu Dhabi with his family, ahead of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League(IPL) Pollard with his West Indies team-mate Sherfane Rutherford has arrived for the upcoming IPL season, having led Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) to the title in the 2020 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The Pollard-led franchise TKR made history after lifting the trophy without loses a single game in the tournament this year. Also, the most destructive all-rounder Kieron Pollard batted superbly to give his team impressive wins many times through his whole IPL career. So, it is a must-watch him again for MI.
Hardik Pandya: Mumbai’s superstar all-rounder – Hardik Pandya; A big-hitter and a fast-bowling all-rounder, Hardik ticks all the boxes that a team desires from a player in the limited-overs format. Hardik’s strike rate of close to 155 and his ability to clear ground at will also make him one of the best finishers in the T20 format. MI once again depends a lot on his hard smasher in this upcoming session.
Jaspreet Bumrah: MI’s champion fast bowler – Jasprit Bumrah would also take this opportunity to find his rhythm back ahead of the much-talked-about India tour of Australia 2020. Bumrah, who made a return to the national team following a stress fracture on his lower back, has failed to make a strong impact.

Shane Watson: The Aussies dynamic all-rounder Shane Watson from Australia is once again expected to reprise his role as an opener for the Chennai Super Kings. A winner of the Most Valuable Player award on a couple of occasions. Watson has had a significant impact on his team’s performance each season.

Deepak Chahar: Being a strike bowler for CSK, the medium-pacer got the national call on his brilliant IPL performance in the last two seasons. In IPL 2019, he played all the 17 matches and took 22 wickets with an economy rate of 7.47. Deepak Chahar was one of the two players in CSK who tested positive for COVID-19 after the team landed in UAE. This forced him to remain indoors and he finally joined the team for a practice session on September 11.
Ravindra Jadeja: Ravindra Jadeja has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings and the franchise will once again be hoping for the star all-rounder to deliver the goods. His left-arm spin bowling will also come handy for the franchise on UAE’s slow and sticky wickets. He has played an astonishing 170 matches in IPL, scoring 1,927 runs at an average of 24.08 and a strike rate of 122.58.
Imran Tahir: The most aged and experienced player in the team is Imran Tahir, who is famous for his typical running celebrations. Besides conventional leg-spin, he has a destructive wrong ‘un he uses as a surprise option. So, CSK once again will be looking for their South African experienced bowler to deliver the good performance in this upcoming session of IPL 2020.
