After England & Pakistan’s 1st Test match in Manchester the dynamics of test ranking have been changed. England won by 3 wickets, it was an unexpected win till day 3 as Pakistan was in a major lead, but after Woakes & Root’s massive inning England won the 1st test match against Pakistan.
Masood’s majestic innings lifted him 14 places to a career-best 19th position after Babar Azam who is at 6th position, Masood’s previous best was 32 position. Whereas Chris Woakes has jumped to 7th position in the lest of best all-rounders.
Shah Masood’s massive score of 156 in the 1st test match has driven him to a career best 19th place in the ICC rankings for test batsmen. Whereas Woakes match winning 84-run knock in England’s chase helped him jump 18 places.
Buttler have lifted his position from 44 to 30, whereas Ollie Pope attained a career best rank of 36th position after scoring 62 & seven.

Pakistan’s leg spinner Yasir moved up 2 places to 22 after taking 8 wickets in the match, Shadab Khan at his career best is at 69th position.
In ICC World Test Championship points table, England has moved to 266 points with 30 points of 2nd placed Australia.
India still leads the table with 360 points, New Zealand is at 4th with 180 points & Pakistan at 5th position with 140 points.
The 2nd test match between England & Pakistan will be played in Rose Bowl stadium from 13-17 August.
