KXIP vs MI Highlights and Match Result: Mumbai Indians beat Kings XI Punjab by 48 runs in the 13th match of the Indian Premier League 2020. After facing defeat in the last match Mumbai Bounce backed with a victory against Kings XI Punjab today. With this win, Mumbai have reached the top of the IPL 2020 Points table. On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab slipped to 7th position. Rohit Sharma (70) was the star performer of the night. 

Winning Toss KXIP captain KL Rahul invited Mumbai Indians to bat first. Mumbai lost two early wickets in the form of De Kock and SuryaKumar Yadav. In form batsman Ishan Kishan came out next to bat, the youngster did look in his best of touch and was seen struggling. Kishan lost his wicket in the process of releasing the pressure from Himself, he went for a big one couldn't connect and get caught on the boundary line. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma kept hitting and completes his record 38th half-century of IPL. After Rohit Departure, Pollard and Pandya devastated KXIP bowling attack and scored 67 in the last four overs to take MI total to 192 in 20 overs.

Punjab have a mixed start while chasing. They love in-form Mayank Agarwal and Karun Nair at the end of the powerplay. Rahul Chahar once again took the most important wicket for MI. He got orange cap holder KL Rahul to escalate the problem for KXIP. Kings XI Punjab middle-order succumbed to pressure and Punjab lost their 60/3 in 9 overs to 112/7 in 18 overs. Nicholas Pooran was the top scorer from KXIP side. He scored 44 runs in 27 balls.

KXIP and MI will next face Chennai Super Kings and SunRisers Hyderabad respectively.
