IPL 2020, KKR vs RCB Highlights:
Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by eight wickets and 6.3 overs to spare in match 39 of Dream11 IPL 2020 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Mohammad Siraj & Yuzvendra Chahal stars as RCB crushes Knight Riders on Wednesday. This will win also give a huge boost to RCB's net run rate. RCB skipper Virat Kohli and Gurkeerat Singh comfortably take RCB home in the end.
Indian young talented quick Mohammad Siraj was picked up three wickets for just 8 runs in his spell of four overs and bowled the best bowling figure this season. With this top bowling effort, Siraj became the first bowler to deliver two maiden overs in an IPL match. The pacer received full support from RCB spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who picked two key wickets for the team.
Virat's Men in Red bounce back strongly from their loss against KXIP a few days ago. But this crushing 8 wicket win over Knight Riders to move ahead of defending champions MI on the IPL points table and RCB level on points with the table-toppers DC (i.e. 14). With seven wins from ten matches played so far, Virat and Co now will have higher hopes than ever and the team finally brings back some luck that might be ending the trophy jinx for them.
KKR is not out of this yet, and remain at the fourth spot with five wins and as many losses from their 10 games.
Earlier, KKR were restricted to 84 runs for the loss of eight wickets, the lowest ever score in IPL history for a team without having been bowled out. Knight Riders lost their top order quickly which helped RCB to a blitz of a start especially by Mohammad Siraj (3/8). KKR were 17/4 at the end of 6 overs, the lowest Powerplay score this season.
KKR's newly-made captain Eoin Morgan (30) was the top run-scorer and held the innings together for a while till he was dismissed in the 16th over. None of the other batsmen managed to make an impact after Morgan won the toss and opted to bat first. The RCB bowlers were too exceptional, with Mohammed Siraj and Chahal are the star performers.
The two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the table-toppers Delhi Capitals while Royal Challengers Bangalore will play with the bottom-placed MS Dhoni's Super Kings in their next match this upcoming double-header weekend.
