KKR vs KXIP IPL 2020: Two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) will taking on Kings XI Punjab(KXIP) in today's IPL match at Sheikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi. This is the first of the two encounters which will be played today. The match begins at 2 PM Local Time and 3:30 according to the IST. However, KKR's key player Andre Russell gets injured while attempting to save a boundary but he could not save the boundary and gets himself hurt as his right knee crashing on to the advertising board directly. The Kolkata-based franchise will also be hoping that it was not a serious injury and Russell soon gets fit and come back on the ground.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Andre Russell injured himself while attempting to save a boundary against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. During the second over of the KXIP chase, bowled by Prasidh Krishna, skipper K. L. Rahul had skied a delivery straight past the bowler. Russell, fielding at mid-off, did the hard work by covering the yards and getting to the ball very quickly.

However, the West Indian star couldn't hold on to it, and in his attempt to stop the ball before it reached the boundary rope, Russell got injured after crashing on to the advertisement board. Let's hope that it would not be a serious injury because Andre Russell is an X-factor for the Knight Riders side.

Earlier, KKR sets a target of 165 runs for Kings XI Punjab. For Knight Riders, Subhman Gill and their skipper Dinesh Karthik both scored a superb half-century which helps them to set a competitive target of 164 runs to Kings XI. Karthik played a captain's knock by smashing 58(29) with 8 fours and 2 sixes along with Subhman Gill, who also scored another half-century. Young Bishnoi, Shami and Arshdeep Singh each picking up 1-1 wickets for KXIP.

Now, KXIP were going down quite nicely towards the target set by Kolkata Knight Riders.
