IPL 2020: Sunil Narine cleared by the bowling action committee

IPL 2020: The former IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders mystery spinner Sunil Narine has been cleared by the IPL’s suspect bowling action committee now. As per the official sources, Sunil Narine was reported for bowling with a suspected illegal bowling action during the match against KL Rahul's Kings XI Punjab at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 10. According to the report, Sunil Narine was placed on the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) warning list.

Finally, Narine, the Kolkata Knight Riders wrist spinner, has been cleared by the IPL’s suspect bowling action committee and now he has been removed from the IPL suspect action warning list. It came ahead of KKR today's IPL match against Sunrisers. KKR will play with Sunrisers today in a must-win game at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi. So, it seems to be interesting to see how Sunil Narine performed in today's match 35, especially with the ball after being cleared by the bowling action committee.

KKR requested for an official assessment of Narine’s action from the IPL suspect bowling action committee, submitting action footage in slow motion with back and side angles. Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine worked hard with the team's spin bowling consultant Carl Crowe to correct his action for the remaining IPL 2020 matches and finally results came ahead of today's IPL match against SRH.

"The committee carefully reviewed all the deliveries of action footage sent of Narine with the naked eye and has come to the conclusion that the elbow-bend appears to be within the range of permissible limits. The Committee also noted that Narine should reproduce the same action going forward in the IPL 2020 matches as presented to the Committee in the video footage," a statement issued by the IPL, read.

Under the captaincy of their new captain Eoin Morgan, Knight Riders have an opportunity to climb back up against David Warner and Co, who themselves loses their two straight matches. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders have officially made a change in captaincy with Eoin Morgan replacing Dinesh Karthik a few days ago.

Kolkata Knight Riders had a mixed season thus far and they will go up next with their best playing 11 against the Sunrisers side. SRH, on the other side, has also not been so impressive this season in Dream11 IPL 2020. So, it seems to be an exciting rivalry between these two most consistent sides when they clash for the second time in reverse order.

KKR vs SRH Playing 11 for Match 35:

Kolkata Knight Riders (Likely XI): Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik(w/c), Rahul Tripathi, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Prasidh Krishna, Varun Chakravarthy

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Likely XI): David Warner(c), Jonny Bairstow(w), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Priyam Garg, Vijay Shankar, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, T Natarajan
