IPL 2021 Auction: Chris Morris emerged to be the most expensive buys in IPL history, going to RR for ₹16.25 cr while K Gowtham (CSK) came out to be the most expensive Indian player at the IPL 2021 auction.

Indian Premier League IPL 2021: South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris emerged to be the most expensive buys in IPL history, going to Rajasthan Royals for ₹16.25 cr while Krishnappa Gowtham (CSK) came out to be the most expensive Indian player at the IPL 2021 auction, sold for Rs. 9.25 crore. Cheteshwar Pujara has also been sold to MS Dhoni's CSK and Mumbai Indians picked Arjun Tendulkar at his base price of 20 Lakhs. Glenn Maxwell and Kyle Jamieson are the other eminent bid at the auction and Virat's RCB bought them.

A total of 292 players have been enlisted for the shortened auctions - 164 of them Indian and 125 overseas. With the IPL back in India after being held in the UAE last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all the eight franchises - Mumbai Indians (MI), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals (DC), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bid tactical to plug holes in their squads.

Mumbai Indians (MI):
