Indian Premier League IPL 2021 Auction: Hello and welcome as we build up to IPL 2021 Player Auction. The Auction will commence at the ITC Grand Chola Hotel in Chennai from 3 PM IST onwards and we will have you covered throughout the day. A total of 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and three players from Associate Nations will be up for grabs in the auction. INR 2 Crore is the highest base prize with Jadhav and Harbhajan enroll under it. Here we discuss the IPL 2021 Auction date, time, purse available, players slots, players with max. base price, and live-streaming details as given below.

The players will be given much-needed breaks after the full-fledged IND vs ENG series. Almost two months before the start of the new IPL season, eight IPL franchises will take part in the all-important IPL 2021 auction. A total of 1,114 cricketers had registered for the event. However, the list was cut down to 292 after the franchises submitted their shortlisted players.

Notably, the BCCI is yet to officially announce the start date for the 14th edition of the rich-cash tournament (IPL 2021) to be held in India this year.

There are a lot of famous and important personalities to address the auctions from industrialists, film stars, and politicians to ex-players, famous coaches, and analysts. Amongst all these the person who is the master of the show, on whose shoulders lies the responsibility of carrying out the auctions and calling out the several hundred names one after the other patiently but firmly, is the auctioneer.

Some Indian talented lads like Shahrukh Khan (Tamil Nadu), Mohammed Azharuddin (Kerala), Lukman Meriwala (Baroda), Vishnu Solanki (Baroda), Siddharth Manimaran (Tamil Nadu). Besides them, eight overseas players - Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, and Mark Wood have chosen to be slotted in the highest bracket as well.

In the latest development, some of their multi-format players including Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, and Jos Buttler, could miss the two-Test series against New Zealand in June due to the IPL knock-out phases. Other imminent players who could be missing in action for the series will be Chris Woakes (Delhi Capitals), Sam Curran (Chennai Super Kings), and Jonny Bairstow (Sunrisers Hyderabad), according to the latest reports.

INR 2 crore is the highest base price with Kedar Jadhav and Harbhajan Singh enlisting under it. Besides them, eight overseas players - Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, and Mark Wood have chosen to be slotted in the highest bracket as well. 12 players are on the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav are the two Indian players in the list of 11 cricketers with a base price of INR 1 crore.
