IPL 2020: After Vivo opted out its sponsorship, BCCI to start bid for new title sponsor soon

After the announcement & reschedule of 13th edition of IPL in UAE amid Covid-19 & also getting a green signal from the central government. BCCI retained its title sponsor a Chinese phone company Vivo, due to which BCCI landed in a blaze of controversy. 

There was a huge backlash on internet as well as from various organizations. But soon after Vivo moved out amid huge backlash & various internal disputes, even BCCI confirmed this. 

Now the big question arises of who will be the next title sponsor of this league of IPL? For trivia, Vivo had entered into the contract with IPL in 2017 with a minimum bid of around 2199 Crore for a period of five-years, which means Vivo payed around 440Crore to board every year.  

Earlier BCCI said that there is no need to sweat, they will soon announce the title sponsor. According to the sources BCCI may soon start the bid for the next title sponsor of the IPL. There is wave of guessing game going on everywhere that the next IPL title sponsor may be telecommunication company Reliance JIO, e-commerce giant Amazon,learning app Byju’s or Tata Group. As the sources say the bid may start in a day or two.  

IPL 2020 will be starting from 19th September in UAE, the first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) & Mumbai Indians (MI). Teams will be leaving for UAE soon, for the practice camps.
