IPL 2020: Rohit Sharma hits record 38th half-century, equals Suresh Raina's feat

IPL 2020 KXIP vs MI: Mumbai Indians captain Shikhar Dhawan scores 38th Fifty of his Indian Premier League career against Kings XI Punjab on Thursday at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. With the Half-Century he reaches the 2nd position in the list of most number of Half-Centuries by a player in IPL. Moreover, Rohit Sharma has also equalled Suresh Raina's record of 38 Half-Centuries in IPL. Now, Rohit Sharma and Raina are jointly at 2nd position in the list of most number of fifties by a player in IPL and 1st in the list of most number of Half-Centuries by an Indian player in Indian Premier League.

Before today's match, Hitman was tied with Shikhar Dhawan at 3rd position with 37 Fifties in 191 matches. Rohit hits a four on the second delivery of the16th over to complete his 38th half-century in IPL. He took 40 balls to achieve the commendable featThe Hitman as he is called by his teammates has also scored one century in IPL. His Highest score (109*) was against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 season. This is Rohit Sharma's first fifty of the season.

It would be interesting to see who ends up at the 2nd position or maybe even reach the top spot at the end of Indian Premier League 2020.
