IPL 2020: Reliance Jio declines offer for title sponsorship, hunt for title sponsor goes on

After huge backlash & internal disputes Vivo opted out its title sponsorship of IPL with BCCI, breaking its 5-year bid of around 2199 Crore. But as Vivo moved out there were various question which aroused like who will be the next title sponsor?  who will come near to this huge amount of bid?  

There were speculations that various brands have started exploring about IPL 2020 title sponsorship, there’s been a whole lot of guessing game going around on the internet too, as some suggested that this year the title sponsor for IPL may be Reliance Jio, e-commerce giant Amazon, online education startup Byju’s & many such top brands.  

It was also speculated that BCCI approached the biggest telecommunication network Reliance Jio as the company has been in positive news amid pandemic too. But now it turns out that the company is not interested in the IPL partnership & is not in talks with BCCI for the same. 

It's also learnt that BCCI have sent requests to various other corporate houses like Byju’s, PayTm, but none of them is showing any interest. But now the question arises if the biggest telecommunication is not interested in the title sponsorship of IPL, then who will be the next title sponsor for IPL.  

The 13th edition of IPL will be held from 19 September to 10 November in UAE, the first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings & Mumbai Indians.
