After making 150 appearances for Mumbai Indians in IPL Rohit Sharma thanked all the people who were there for him in his ups and downs and vows to remain faithful to the franchise. Hitman played his 150th match against Delhi Capitals at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. He posted a photo of special jersey with 150 printed on its back presented to him by Mumbai Indians management on twitter.
He wrote, " Loved representing this jersey for the 150th time. This is and always will be my home. Appreciate everyone who has helped me through this journey". He also tagged Mumbai Indians official twitter account. The Hitman is now the second Mumbai Indians player to play 150 matches for the franchise after Kieron Pollard. Both Rohit and Pollard made their 150th appearance this season only.
Rohit Sharma represented Deccan Chargers in the first three seasons of IPL. In 2011 he was sold to MI for an estimated 15 crores. In 2013 he was named Mumbai Indians captain, in his first season as the leader Mumbai Indians won their maiden IPL title. Under his captaincy, Mumbai have won four IPL titles- 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019. He has scored 3994 runs in 150 appearances for Mumbai Indians and has been an integral part of the squad.
Mumbai Indians regained the top spot in the points table after beating Delhi Capitals by five wickets in match 27 of IPL 13. Splendid knocks of 53 runs form Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav each helped Mumbai Indians in a successful chase of 163 runs after Delhi Capitals scored 162/4 in their 20 overs. Quinton de Kock was crowned as the man of the match. Mumbai now sits at the top of the table with 10 points in seven games.
