As IPL 2020 dates have been announced by BCCI, the 13th edition of IPL will be commencing from 19 September to 10 November in UAE. The complete schedule is yet to come.
After the announcement players have geared up & started their practice, hitting off the ground. Teams will be soon leaving for UAE for camp practice sessions & for proper quarantine prior to their matches.
Teams have started to assemble in their home cities, first being Mumbai Indians, as their domestic players have started to assemble in Mumbai. Players have been sent to 14-days quarantine; they are only allowed to exit their room when their need to get their test is done. Apart from this all the other facilities will be provided in their respective rooms itself.
After their quarantine period ends, they can start their practice & go ahead for the training in their respective grounds, with following proper safety measures.
The detailed Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)’s is still awaited from BCCI, but general & internal team protocols are being followed. Teams may leave for UAE around August 21; final date is yet to come.
IPL 2020 will be starting from 19 September in UAE, the first match will be played between Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super Kings.
