IPL 2020: Some Major Changes of Players, IPL’s Most Expensive Buys

Indian Premier League governing council has finalized the schedule of this year’s IPL in UAE, starting off from 19 September to 10 November. The tournament is now set to be held in UAE amid Covid-19 pandemic scare in India. 

While other detailed Standard Operation Procedure’s (SOP) are yet to be made public, let’s have a look on some major changes this year & expensive bids of players.  

A total of 62 players were bought by eight teams combined, from budding young players going for big money bid to some prominent names being snapped at base or average prices.  

There were some big players who were transferred & released this year. The auction had taken place in Kolkata, Kiwi player James Neesham went for Rs 50 lakh base price to Kings XI Punjab. While players like Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Tim Southee, Adam Zampa, Liam Plunkett, Colin Munro, Colin Ingram, Ben Cutting failed to get any takers.
