IPL 2020 KKR vs MI 5th Match Result: Mumbai Indians registered a win their second game of the season, after losing the first game Chennai Super Kings. Rohit Shrama played a splendid inning of 80 runs.

IPL 2020 KKR vs MI 5th Match Result: In the 5th match of the season Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 49 runs. Mumbai registered their first win of the season. In the opening fixture, they were beaten by CSK. on the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders first game of IPL 2020 did not go as plan. Rohit Sharma was the star performer of the match. 

After winning the toss Kolkata invited Mumbai to bat first. De Kock (1) got out early resulting Suryakumar (47) coming to the crease. He along with Rohit Sharma did a 90 runs partnership to set the base for the team. At one point Mumbai was heading towards 200 marks but Rohit dismissal by Shivam Mavi in the 18 overs restrained Mumbai Indians scoreboard. Sourabh Tiwary (21) and Hardik Pandya (18) were other contributors for Mumbai Indians. 

Chasing the target Kolkata Knight Riders had the worst start as they lost Shubhman Gill and Sunil Narine at the score of 25 runs. Dinesh Karthik (30) along with Nitish Rana (24) tried to build up the partnership, but, Rahul Chahar got Dinesh Karthik out and then Pollard got Nitish Rana out. Next Eoin Morgan (16) and Russell (11) in an attempt to hit biggies lost their wicket and with that KKR lost all the hope. However, Pat Cummins (33 runs in 12 balls) who had a drastic day with ball smashed some good shot. He scored 27 runs in Bumrah's over. But his innings was cut short by James Pattinson. Trent Boult, James Pattinson, Burmah and Rahul Chahar each got two wickets and Pollard got one. 

Next, Kolkata Knight Riders will face Rajasthan Royals on September 30. And Mumbai Indians will face Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 28. Mumbai Indians is currently at the top of the table with two points in two games.
