The hunt for title sponsorship is over now as Dream11 wins IPL 2020 title sponsorship for Rs 222Crore, confirms IPL chairman Brijesh Patel.
Dream11 outbids TATA Sons and others, apart from Dream11 the other bidders were the Tata Group, the education startup Byju’s & Unacademy. Dream11 won the bid for Rs 222 Crores.
After Vivo opted out from its title sponsorship of IPL, amid huge backlash & internal disputes. BCCI was in hunt for Indian Premier League’s title sponsorship. The guessing game all over the internet was on for Patanjali Ayurveda, Reliance Jio, Tata Sons being the next title sponsors for IPL.
But after so many speculations & guess game, IPL 2020 now has a final title sponsor Dream11, which is a fantasy sports platform in India that allows fans to play fantasy cricket in India.
Dream11 outbids all the other bids & won the title sponsor for Rs 222 Crore. The hunt for title sponsor is now over, the next focus for BCCI will be on IPL 2020 schedule & Detailed Standard Operation Procedure (SOP). Soon BCCI will set practice camps for the teams in UAE.
IPL 2020 will start from 19 September in UAE, the three venues for the matches will be Abu Dhabi, Dubai & Sharjah. First match will be played between Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super Kings.
