In the second game of IPL 13, Delhi Capitals beat Kings XI Punjab in a super over. Delhi easily chased three runs target in super over, before Rabada took two wickets in three balls in Super over.

IPL 2020 DC vs KXIP Match Result: It's just the second day of the season and we had the first super over of IPL 2020. In the second game of the season, Delhi Capitals Beat Kings XI Punjab in Super over to open their season account with the win. Kagiso Rabada two wickets in two balls in super over made things smooth for Delhi Capitals as they just needed three runs in super over. Pant scored the winning run for DC on the second delivery of the super over. Kings XI Punjab Mayank Agarwal stunning 89 runs in 60 balls ends in vain.

Winning the toss Kings XI Punjab decided to bowl first. KXIP got off a good start, DC star batsman Shikhar Dhawan lost his wicket cheaply. A miscommunication between him and Prithvi Shaw ends with Dhawan being run out and walking back to the pavilion. Next came Hetmayer who did not stay long and DC lost two more wickets in quick succession. Mohammed Shami (3-15) was the chief destructor for the Kings XI Punjab. Captian Iyer (39 of 32) and Marcus Stoinis (53 of 21) power-hitting show helped the team in setting 157 on the scoreboard.

During the chase, Punjab top order crumbled in pressure and they lost four precious wickets on 35 runs. Ashwin took two wickets (Karun Nair and Nicolas Pooran) in one over to sent KXIP on backfoot. However, he injured his shoulder in an attempt to stop the ball and was forced to leave the field. Mayank Agarwal turned the tides in Kings XI Punjab favour. His 89 runs in 60 balls took KXIP on the verge of the victory, but he could not cross the finish line as he was sent back by Stoinis in the last over of the game. Stoinis had a day of his life. First his contribution in batting and two wickets in 20th over to keep the Delhi Capitals in the game and forcing a Super over. 

Pooran was twice bowled out on a duck in the match. Rabada took two wickets in the super over and almost did the job of Delhi Capitals. Chasing three runs, Pant comfortably took two runs, before Shami bowled a wide and helped Delhi Capitals in registering their first victory of the season. 

Next in IPL 2020, SunRisers Hyderabad will face Royal Challengers Banglore on September 21.
