After Vivo opted out from its title sponsorship of IPL, the hunt for IPL sponsorship is on, there have been various speculations about the title sponsor all over the internet, but any official statement is yet to come from BCCI.
The BCCI will issue an Expression of Interest (EOI) for IPL’s title sponsorship rights today & will seek final bids by August 18. As it attempts to find a sponsor after suspending ties with Vivo because of a huge blaze of backlash amid clash between Indo-China & also internal disputes, vivo opted out from its title sponsorship.
BCCI wants to complete the process soon so they can further focus on the execution of the IPL 2020 in UAE. Expression of Interest (EOI) to be issued by today, letter of intent by the interest parties to be submitted by end of this week, deadline to submit bid by the parties is 18 August, bids opening will be on the same day.
The main debate for the board was weather to keep any base price for the IPL title sponsorship or not. There have been many speculations about the interested parties for IPL 2020 title sponsorship bidding, Amazon, Byju’s & now Patanjali too.
The major speculation was with regard to Reliance Jio, but they have declined their offer for title sponsorship, now we have to wait & see who will be the next title sponsor of IPL!
To everyone’s surprise India's homegrown brand Patanjali is also in this race, as it has declared that they are in for IPL title sponsorship.
IPL 2020 will be starting from September 19 to November 10 in UAE. The first match will be played between Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super Kings.
