IPL 2020 1st week Walkthrough: The 13th season of IPL completes its 1st week today. This season IPL is held in UAE and matches are played at three venues- Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings kick off the tournament on 19th of September at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. It has just been one week and we already have a lot of actions and drama to gulp in. Here we present you the all the updates, news, stats, points table and more from IPL 2020 1st week.
Ravichandran Ashwin: The Delhi Capitals spinner injured his shoulder in Delhi Capital's first game against Kings XI Punjab. The Indian international had a dream start of the season as he took two wickets in the first over. But it all crashed down as he injured his shoulder and was forced to leave the field. The off-spinner is expected to make the comeback against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Mitchell Marsh: The Australian International has sustained an ankle injury. He got himself injured while bowling against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Marsh is ruled out for the season. Jason Holder is signed by SunRisers Hyderabad as his replacement.
Kane Williamson: SunRisers Hyderabad former Captian injured himself during the training session ahead of their clash with RCB. Till now there is no update available on his return.
Ambati Rayudu: Chennai Super Kings veteran pulled his hamstring during the training session. He won the man of the match award against Mumbai Indians. Rayudu is expected to be fit before CSK clash with SRH on October 2nd.
Ishant Sharma: Delhi Capitals seamer is yet to feature in IPL 2020. He suffered from back pain prior to their match with SRH and was ruled out for the match. There no updates about his return.

KL Rahul: The Kings XI Punjab Captain scored the maiden century of IPL 2020. Rahul scored 132* (69) against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He is now the Indian with the highest individual score in IPL history.
Ambati Rayudu: Chennai Super Kings played a fantastic knock against Mumbai Indians to win the match for his team. Rayudu scored 71 runs in 18 balls when CSK was struggling, both the openers Sahne Watson and Murli Vijay were back to pavilion.
Prithvi Shaw: The youngster helped Delhi Capitals in registering a comprehensive win of 44 runs against Chennai Super King. His 43 balls 64 and 94 partnership with Shikhar Dhawan resulted in Delhi clinching number one stop in Points table.
Flops
Failed chases: Chennai Super Kings failed to chase the target in two consecutive matches in 1st week. Winning toss Chennai Invited Rajasthan and Delhi to bat first. But in came there chance to bat they underperformed and ended up losing both the games.
Missed Catches: The moths long hiatus has surely affected the fitness of the players. In the first week of IPL 2020, 17 catches were dropped by players from which 13 catches were dropped in matches played in Dubai.
The second week of IPL 2020 has commenced and the excitement and entertainment will amplify with each passing week.
