IPL 2021 Auction: The player auction for the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will commence at the ITC Grand Chola Hotel in Chennai at 3:00 PM IST today. The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) is yet to officially announce the start date for the much-awited14th edition of the IPL 2021. Meanwhile, the tournament won't start before the second week of April as ongoing India vs England series ends on March 28. 

The players will be given much-needed breaks after the full-fledged series. Almost two months before the start of the new IPL season, the 8 IPL franchises will take part in the all-important IPL 2021 auction. Take a look at the IPL 2021 Auction date, time, purse value, and Live-streaming details as given below.

Key Players up for grabs at IPL 2021 Auction:

A total of 292 players will compete for 61 vacant slots. A total of 1114 cricketers had registered for the IPL 2021 auction and the list was pruned to 292 last week. The two Indian players Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav have set their base price at INR 2 crores. The complete list of players up for grabs is available at IPLT20.com.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP): 53.2 crore

Rajasthan Royals (RR): 37.85 crore

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): 35.4 crore

Chennai Super Kings: 19.9 crore

Mumbai Indians (MI): 15.35 crore

Delhi Capitals (DC): 13.4 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR): 10.75 crore

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): 10.75 crore

IPL 2021 Auction - Date, Time, Venue and other details:

The IPL 2021 auction will take place on February 18, Thursday. The event will take place in Chennai and will start at 3:00 PM IST. The IPL owners will have to submit two negative Covid-19 Tests.
