IND vs AUS Man of the Series Award: India's one of the most destructive all-rounder Hardik Pandya was nominated for the 'Player of the Series' award after India won the three-match T20I series by 2-1 against Australia. The recent exploits of Pandya with the bat have convinced Indian skipper Virat Kohli that he can be India’s next finisher. However, Pandya is unlikely to stay back in Australia during the upcoming much-awaited Test series, kick-starting from Dec 17.
The 27-year-old flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya was pleased after winning the Man of the Series award. Pandya scored 78 runs sat a brutal strike rate of 156 including some match-winning knocks in the series. He establishes himself as a dependable player in India’s middle-order in the time to come.
"I'm very pleased, and wouldn't mind getting the Man of the Series award, but it was a team effort," Hardik Pandya said in the post-match presentation ceremony. I think I should head back home and spend some quality time with my family. I haven't seen them for four months. Maybe in the future (for Test cricket), I don't know, maybe," Pandya added.
