ICC Awards 2020 Highlights: Former Indian team captain MS Dhoni bags the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade for his unanimous gesture of calling back England batsman Ian Bell after given him run out by the Umpire in the most unorthodox way in Nottingham Test during India's tour of England in 2011. Dhoni's gesture won him the Spirit of the Cricket award in 2011 and now it has been established as one of the most heartwarming gestures on the field across the decade.
International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday elects him with top honours for his sportsmanship in cricket throughout the decade. 'Captain Cool' Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also been named as the skipper of the ICC Men's T20I and ODI Team of the Decade on Dec 27 (Sunday).
Virat Kohli won the ICC men's ODI Player of the Decade award for his congenial records in the ODI format in the last 10 years. Run Machine Virat Kohli also grabbed the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Men's Cricketer of the Decade.
