England Vs Australia: A heroic performance from Jofre Archer helped England in beating Australia by 24 runs in the 2nd ODI to level up the series 1-1.
Batting first England set a target of 232 for visitors. The home team couldn't find the grip in the whole match. England scoreboard reached 200 marks courtesy of Tom Curran (37) and Adil Rashid (35*) 79 runs partnership for 9th wicket. Eoin Morgan (42) was the highest run-scorer for England. Adam Zampa (36-3) and Mitchell Starc (38-2) were the star performers for Australian Side, Josh Hazelwood (27-1) also provided generous support to restrict the English side.
While chasing Visitors in form David Warner (6)and Marcus Stoinis (9) in quick succession. Captain Aaron Finch (73) and Marcus Labuschagne (48) took the command. They were leading their team to the victory until Chris Woakes sent both of them back to Pavillion. Jofra Archer and Sam Curran further wrecked Australia side. The visitors from 143-2 collapsed to 207 all out. Jofra Archer was declared as the Man of the Match.
The third and final ODI will be the series decider. Both England and Australia will put in their utmost efforts to win the series. Australian key batsman Steve Smith is expected to return for the third ODI.
