Australia Vs England 2nd ODI: Australia registered their first victory of the tour as they beat England by 19 runs in the first ODI of the series. Batting first visitors set the target of 295 for the home side. Mitchell Marsh and Glen Maxwell scored 73 runs and 77 runs respectively to take Australia to a respectful total.
In return of Australia 295, England could only manage 275. The dangerous-looking 113 runs partnership of Jonny Bairstow and Sam Billings was ended by Adam Zampa to demolish the hope of the home side. Sam Billings maiden ODI century ended in vain as he couldn't win the match for his team. Adam Zampa (4-55) and Jose Hazelwood (26-3) were star performer for the Australian side.
England will be aiming for a bounceback in the second ODI and get back their winning momentum. Australia key Steve Smith is likely to miss the second ODI also.
