ENG vs SL Test Series: The England Cricket Team has arrived in Sri Lanka for the much-anticipated two-Test match series, kick start from January 14 in Galle. The English side led by Joe Root will first undergo a three-day quarantine. After that, the visitors will be allowed to train and Englishmen start their training from January 5-9 in Hambantota, following which they will travel to Galle to play the two Tests. The series opener (SL vs ENG) will be played at Galle International Stadium from 10:00 AM IST.
The English players went through COVID-19 tests at the airport. England players were seen going through various sanitization norms in a video shared by England's Head of Team Communication Danny Reuben. England skipper Joe Root also addressed some of the local media upon his team's arrival. Root and the media members followed social distancing norms.
With a new COVID-19 strain appearing in Britain, U.K, there were some concerns regarding England's tour to Sri Lanka. However, both teams are confident about the biosecurity bubble, and the England cricket team will go through stringent quarantine norms.
