England vs India T20I Series: England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announces their 16-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series, against India, kick-start from 12 March. Eoin Morgan-led England will depart on February 26 and will play five Twenty20 internationals in Ahmedabad. The squad for the three ODIs that follow the T20I series will be announced in due course.
Liam Livingstone has made his comeback after a brilliant Big Bash League (BBL 10) for the Perth Scorchers. He amassed 426 runs in 14 matches at a healthy strike-rate of 133.69. Livingstone also bowled on few occasions and took five wickets during the recently concluded tournament.
The Englishmen - Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, and Jofra Archer who are also part of the Test squad will continue to be in the bio bubble after the completion of the ongoing Test series. Jonny Bairstow will likely to join the team for the last two Tests. England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler will be traveling with the T20I squad after resting for the last three Tests against India.
Chris Woakes also missing the key link from the T20I squad along with Joe Root who last played a T20I in May 2019. Adil Rashid is the other English spinner in the touring party alongside Moeen Ali while Chris Jordan, Mark Wood, Reece Topley from the pace attack with Jofra Archer. Jake Ball and young Matt Parkinson are named in the reserves as of now and they might travel with the team as well.
