Dream11 IPL 2020: ‘Sometimes success gets into head’, Srinivasan on Suresh Raina’s return to India!

Chennai Super Kings’ official twitter handle confirmed that Suresh Raina will not be available for the 13th edition IPL & has returned to India for personal reasons.     

 According to the sources Suresh Raina was very unhappy with the hotel room he was given, he found bio-bubble security claustrophobic & wanted a room with a balcony. N. Srinivasan is very unhappy about this decision of Raina he said that ‘the sudden exit of Raina, left everyone in a bit shock’ 

“Cricketers are like prima donnas, like the temperamental actors of the olden days. Chennai Super Kings have always been like a family & all senior players have learnt to co-exist,” said Srinivasan. He added that “my thinking is that is you are reluctant or not happy, go back. I fon’t force anyone to do anything, sometimes success gets into your head.”  (Source: Outlook India)

Earlier it was cited that the personal reason for Raina’s return to India was that his relative was in critical condition while his uncle has died following a midnight attack in their Pathankot’s village. The attack took place when the family was sleeping on the terrace of their house. The attackers, who are still unknown attacked them with lethal weapons when they were asleep. His Bua (his father’s sister) is still fighting for her life in the hospital, while his uncle died in the attack. His cousins also sustained to injuries in the attack. Meanwhile the local police are investigating about the matter. 

Chennai Super Kings 13 management staff, bowler Deepak Chaar & young batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad tested positive for COVID. CSK was supposed to start their pre-tournament training from Friday. Support staff names are still unknown, it is said that they tested positive after they landed in Dubai. Due to which now CSK have extended their quarantine period for another week.      

On August 15 brought Suresh Raina announced his retirement after former Indian Captain M.S Dhoni announced his retirement. Raina announced about this by posting a post on his Instagram account.  


Dream11 IPL 2020 which is set to be started from September 19, players & management staff have reached UAE, there is still no announcement of the schedule. The increasing cases of Covid-19 is causing delay from BCCI to announce the IPL 2020 schedule.
