Dream11 IPL 2020: Kane Williamson reaches UAE,quarantined for six days

New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson has reached UAE for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier league. Williamson’s IPL team SunRisers Hyderabad posted a video on twitter welcoming him.

SunRisers Hyderabad wrote, “He is here #orangearmy”.

After reaching team hotel Williamson answered few questions regarding IPL.

When asked about how does he feel to be here (in UAE) for the IPL he said, “It is great that the IPL is going ahead and all the players can get over to Dubai and quarantine and then start looking forward to play some cricket. I know for everybody out here, it's been a long time between any sort of normality. It’s a real exciting opportunity...

Further he said, “I am sure it will be a longish six days, but will be fine at the same time. I look forward to catching up with all the guys”. When asked about the how does he feel about steeping into quarantine?

Williamson also shared his plans during quarantine. He said, “I will make sure I get through some fitness and some exercises and do a bit of reading... Sort of see where the day takes me. I will start acclimatizing, I suppose...

At last he has sent a message for the orange army.

“I know the guys are looking forward to getting in to it and representing the orange army, I am sure we will get a whole lot of support although from far. Everybody is excited to start playing and hopefully it's an amazing competition like its usually is. See you in six days Orange army”.

Arrival of Williamson in the squad is a great boost for SunRisers Hyderabad and a moment of relief also. Because earlier he felt little apprehensive about the IPL in UAE.

The first match of the Indian Premier League will be played on Saturday, 19th September 2020.
