England Opener Jason Roy, who played for Delhi Capitals last season will not be playing the 13th edition of Indian Premier League in UAE, due to personal reasons.
Jason Roy has been ruled out of the T20I against Pakistan after sustaining a left side strain. He injured himself during the team’s preparation for the series with Pakistan in Manchester.
Official release from ECB confirmed Jason Roy’s unavailability, and also that he will remain with England squad & undergo rehabilitation in order to regain full fitness ahead of their next series against Australia, starting from September 4.

While Jason Roy would become the second English player to opt out of IPL, after Chris Woakes. Daniel Sams will be the second fast bowler Delhi Capitals have hired after the auction. South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje replaced allrounder Chris Woakes.
The three-match T20I series against Pakistan will begin from 28 August, at Old Trafford Manchester.
