BCCI updated IPL 2020 Protocols.
England & Australian Players will be available for first match.
Suspected or Positive cases will immediately be isolated.
BCCI have updated the IPL 2020 protocols & In which England & Australia will be available from the first of Indian Premier League.
Earlier England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had confirmed that England will host Australia for three T20Is and ODIs in September, prior to IPL & it was speculated that Australian & England players will not be available for the initial matches of IPL in UAE.
The updated protocols by BCCI states that suspected or positive cases will immediately be put under isolation & will be managed by the team doctor. BCCI have named few hospitals which will be made available to handle such cases in UAE. However, all the cases will be held according to UAE government protocols.
After landing in UAE, team players & staff are following the robust testing protocols set by the BCCI, teams will be under quarantine for 6 days as per the protocols. International players will be joining the team by next week.
As per Detailed Standard Operation Procedure issued by BCCI team & management staff will undergo tests on day1, day3 & day 6 of six days quarantine period in UAE.
All 8 teams have reached UAE. BCCI delegation is all set to leave on 22nd August to do recce of the facilities in the UAE. Dream11 IPL 2020 will be starting from 19 September, the first match will be played between Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super Kings.
The 13th edition Dream11 IPL 2020 will be played from 19 September to 10 November in three venues of UAE, i.e. Abu Dhabi, Dubai & Sharjah.
