Chennai Super Kings’ Ruturaj Gaikwad also tests positive for Covid-19
Chennai Super Kings management staff & bowler Deepak Chaar tested positive for COVID. CSK was supposed to start their pre-tournament training from Friday. But now one more player Ruturaj Gaikwad tested positive for Covid-19. Due to which now CSK have extended their quarantine period for another week.
CSK reached Dubai on 21 August & was under mandatory six-day quarantine. CSK’s entire squad including supporting staff had to undergo their fourth Covid test on Friday. As per BCCI’s protocols three tests were mandatory, the result of COVID test will be known on Saturday.
Suresh Raina returns to India, will remain unavailable for entire tournament!
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings’ official twitter handle also confirmed that Suresh Raina will not be available for the 13th edition IPL & has returned to India for personal reasons.

CSK has taken all the necessary precautions upon reaching Dubai It is said that 12 support staff and may also include one player have tested COVID positive. Rest all are stable & have undergone Covid test.
A 14-day quarantine rule in Abu Dhabi has put KKR & MI, the two IPL teams based there. While remaining teams have started their practice. In Dubai, Rajasthan Royals & Kings XI Punjab have already begun training, the others are likely to start in the next couple of days.
Dream11 IPL 2020 which is set to be started from September 19, players & management staff have reached UAE, there is still no announcement of the schedule. The increasing cases of Covid-19 is causing delay from BCCI to announce the IPL 2020 schedule.
