DC vs SRH Match Highlights and Result: Delhi Capitals suffered their first defeat of the season as SunRisers Hyderabad trounced over them in the 11th match of the Indian Premier League. SRH scored 162 courtesy of Bairstow (53) and Warner (45) at the bowling friendly pitch of Sheikh Zayed Stadium. DC while chasing fell short by 15 runs. Rashid Khan (3-14) once again showcased his magic.

Winning the toss Delhi Capitals opted to bowl first. A 77 runs partnership between Warner and Bairstow for the opening wicket provided a strong base to the SRH team to build upon. However, Amit Mishra took the wickets of Warner and Manish Pandey in quick succession to break the rhythm of SunRisers Hyderabad. Kane Williamson 21 balls 41 runs innings helped the team to reach the 160 runs mark on such a tricky pitch and big ground.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar provided an early breakthrough to the team, as he got Prithvi Shaw out in the very first over of Delhi Capitals innings. Dhawan and captain Shreyas Iyer tried to build the inning for the team but Rashid Khan once again impressed everyone with his lethal bowling. Rashid got three important wickets of Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan and dangerous Rishabh Pant and took the game away from Delhi Capitals hand. Delhi Capitals low run rate in the middle overs proved costly for the team. SRH bowlers did a great job of conceding few runs in the middle overs, which ultimately spiked up pressure on DC side.

Now after today's match result all the teams have opened their winning account in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League. With the loss today Delhi Capitals slipped to 2nd position as Rajasthan Royals leapfrogged them to attain the pole position. Today's winner SunRisers Hyderabad climb up three positions, now they are at the 6th position in the Points table with two points in three games.
