DC vs SRH: Delhi Capitals Captain Shreyas Iyer fined for slow over rate against SunRisers Hyderabad

This is the second time captain is being fined for maintaining slow over-rate in IPL 2020. RCB captain Virat Kohli was the first one fined against KXIP.

Shreyas Iyer fined Rs.12 lakh for slow over rate against SRH

IPL 2020 DC vs SRH: Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer has been fined for Rs.12 lakh for maintaining slow over-rate against SunRisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. This is the second incident of slow over-rate in Indian Premier League 2020. Virat Kohli being the first captain to be fined for maintaining slow over-rate in the match. 

" Shreyas has been fined Rs. 12 lakh as this was DC’s first offence of slow over-rate in the ongoing IPL season. ” As it was his team’s first offence of the season under IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Iyer was fined Rs. 12 Lakh,” said an official statement. RCB captain Virat Kohli was also fined for Rs.12 Lakh for maintaining slow over-rate against Kings XI Punjab.

Previously, Delhi Capitals faced their first defeat of the season. SunRisers Hyderabad beat Delhi Capitals by 15 runs to register their first win of the season. SRH opener Warner (45), Bairstow (53) and Williamson (41) helped the team to score 162 runs in their 20 overs. In return, Delhi Capitals fell short by 15 runs. Shikhar Dhawan (34) was the top run-scorer for Delhi Capitals. Rashid Khan once again made the difference for SRH. His spell of (3-14) restricted Delhi Capitals to 147/7 at the end of DC's 20 overs.
