CSK vs MI Highlights:
Defending champions Mumbai Indian(MI) shattered MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings by 10 wickets on Friday and creates history as MI became the first team to defeat CSK by 10 wickets in Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Mumbai Indians set off with an ideal start with the ball and then with the bat as they crushed Chennai Super Kings by 10 wickets in Sharjah yesterday. Now, they advanced to the top spot in the points table through this comprehensive win over runners-up CSK.
After electing to bowl first, the veteran pacers like Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah pushed CSK on the backfoot right from the front. Ishan Kishan and de Kock open for MI in the absence of Rohit Sharma and both batted well and chase down a small total of 115 runs quite easily without any harm done and took MI home inside 13 overs.
MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings are having a bad tournament till now but it went from bad to worse on Friday night. Super Kings loses five wickets in the powerplay for the first time and losing a match by 10 wickets, also for the first time ever in IPL history.
CSK skipper MS Dhoni has already spoken about how CSK need to look at the future now and now they became the first team to disqualify from the IPL this season and it looks very very impossible for them to reach the playoffs from here. Mumbai on the other hand is just one step away from the knockout stage.
Earlier, CSK bundled out to just 114/9 in their 20 overs with the help of Sam Curran's gritty half-century, his first in the IPL. Trent Boult 4/18 was the pick of the bowlers for MI along with Jaspreet Bumrah 2/25 and Rahul Chahar 2/22 that helped Mumbai Indians restrict MS Dhoni's Super Kings to their lowest total this season.
In reply, Ishan Kishan and de Kock opened the innings for Mumbai Indians in the absence of ''Hitman'' Rohit Sharma. The young batsman looks arrogant up the order with Quinton de Kock as both finished in style for the defending champions. Kishan scored a quickfire half-century (68 off 37 balls) and de Kock continued his fine run with the bat, as he scored 46 from 37 deliveries with 5 fours and 2 sixes.
