BBL 10 ADS vs BRH Highlights: Adelaide Strikers pulled off a thriller by 2 runs from the clutches of Brisbane Heat in the 13th match of BBL 10 played at The Gabba, Brisbane. In reply to ADS's 150, Brisbane Heat got off to the worst possible start and failed to capitalize due to the regular fall of wickets. Jimmy Peirson and Mujeeb Ur Rahman had a spectacular partnership of 60 runs in 4 overs. Mujeeb played a cameo along with his skipper but the home team fell just short by 2 runs. Now, the Strikers who were placed fifth before today, have now moved to number three spot in the points table.
Jimmy Peirson bags the 'Man of the Match' for his scintillating knock (69 off 37) studded with seven fours and two over the rope. Now, we have a break of a couple of days. Sydney Thunder will take on Melbourne Renegades, while Sydney Sixers lock horns with Melbourne Stars on a double-header Saturday.
Earlier, Brisbane Heat won the toss and opted to field first. The Strikers' batting wasn't looked great at all, but it was a collective effort as most of the batters chipped in with handy knocks that helped the Strikers post a par total of 150/6 in 20 overs. Matt Renshaw and Jonathan Wells were scored 32 and 31 respectively for the home side.
Xavier Bartlett was the pick of the bowlers by scalping 3/24 and equally supported by the other Heat bowlers. Take a look at the controversial decision by the on-field Umpire when he declared Tom Cooper out as below.
