Australian veteran batsman Dean Jones died of a heart attack aged 59 in Mumbai. He was under biosecure bubble working for star sports as a commentator.

Former International legend Dean Jones aged 59 died of the heart attack today in Mumbai. Jones was part of the star sports commentary team. At the time of his death, he was under a biosecure bubble in Mumbai. Dean Jones was born in Melbourne. He had a fantastic career with Aussies.

He played a total of 52 test matches for Australia scoring 3631 runs with an average of 46.55. His highest score was 216. He was an important member of the Allan Border's era team. He Scored 11 centuries during his career. Moreover, he played 164 ODIs scoring 6088 runs which include 46 half-centuries and seven centuries.

Former Indian international Virender Sehwag paid rest to the legend. He wrote, "Saddened to hear the news of Dean Jones passing away. Still cannot believe it. Was one of my favourite commentators, he was on air in many of my landmarks. Had really fond memories with him. Will miss him".

He was cricketer turned analyst and was working with star sports and signed a deal with them to do off-tube commentary on the ongoing season of IPL 2020 in UAE.
