Aussie captain Tim Paine confirmed that Marcus Harris will partner David Warner at the top of the order in Pucovski’s absence, with the rest of the Australian XI unchanged.
The rookie opener Pucovski has failed a fitness test this morning and has been ruled out of the series-deciding fourth Test to be played in Brisbane. Victorian teammate Marcus Harris replaced him at the top with David Warner in Australia Playing XI for the Gabba Test. Pucovski has been injured his right shoulder while fielding on the final day of the match at the SCG.
"He'll have a bit of work to do with our medicos to see where he goes from here, but he's obviously missing this Test match and Marcus Harris will replace him. He tried to train this morning and didn't quite come up," Paine said of Pucovski.
