AUS vs IND 3rd Test Highlights: Day 1: 3rd Session

The third Test between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) is being played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in Sydney. Opted to bat first, the hosts lost Warner cheaply, but after his dismissal, the young lad Will Pucovski leading Australia with the way en route to a splendid 100-run stand for the second wicket with Labuschagne. But just after a fine ton stand, the 22-year-old dismissed off debutant Navdeep Saini after scoring a steller knock.
Marnus Labushagne notched a blitzkrieg half-ton and unbeaten on 58 along with the former Australian captain Steve Smith who also gets a positive start. Labushagne and Smith are on the crease and the hosts are aiming to post a big total from thereon. Pucovski and Labushagne put them in a commanding position on day one in the third Test of Border-Gavaskar series.
Debutant Will Pucovski scored his maiden Test half-century on debut (62 off 110) after giving a couple of chances which Team India couldn't hold on. Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant dropped him twice, and he also got away with a run-out scare. Barring this, he played some fearless cricketing strokes. Labuschagne also played some eye-catching shots as he supported the debutant.
From India's point of view, Jaspreet Bumrah-led bowling attack has been looked miffed up till now except for those drop chances. Both youngsters Siraj and Saini were impressed so far. Saini picked his maiden Test wicket as well and he is celebrating with full of joy and enthusiasm. So, Ajinkaya Rahane's India will be looking forward to making an impact in the final session of the day.
Earlier, Australia won the toss and have opted to bat first. Will Pucovski makes his debut and receives the Baggy Green (#460) from former Australian cricketer Andrew McDonald. For India, 'Hitman' Rohit Sharma back in the side while young speedster Navdeep Saini makes his Test debut and he comes in place of injured Umesh Yadav.
