Afghanistan Cricketer Najeeb Tarakai dies passes away following Road Accident. The 29 years old was part of Afghanistan team which played in ICC 2014 Twenty20 World Cup.

Najeeb Tarakai Dies: Afghanistan International Najeeb Tarakai has passed away following a road accident. The opening was severely injured in a car accident on October 2 and he underwent surgery. He was being treated in Nangarhar. Afghanistan Cricket Board officially released a statement of Najeeb Tarakai demise today.

ACB took twitter and wrote, "ACB and Afghanistan Cricket Loving Nation mourns the heartbreaking & grievous loss of its aggressive opening batsman & a very fine human being Najeeb Tarakai (29) who lost his life to tragic traffic accident leaving us all shocked! May Allah Shower His Mercy on him" 

Najeeb Tarakai played 12 T20 and One ODI for Afghanistan Cricket team. He was a part of Afghanistan team which played in the 2014 ICC Twenty20 World Cup. He also played 24 first-class game and scored 2030 runs at a splendid average of 47.20.

Cricket Frenternty mourns the death of Najeeb Tarakai. His fellow country mate Mohammad Nabi shared a mournful post on his twitter handle.

Rashid Khan also paid tribute to the late Najeeb Tarakai

In his last inning of the career, Tarakai scored 32 runs for Mis Ainak Knights in the Shpageeza Cricket League last month.
