BBL10 Alex Carey's 101: Adelaide Strikers wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey notched the first ton of Big Bash League 2020-21 against Brisbane Heat as he notched his second individual hundred and first this season. After opting to bat, Adelaide Strikers (ADS) posted a mammoth total of 197/5 in 20 overs on the board on the back of Alex Carey's ton. In reply, Brisbane Heat are bundled out for 115 in 17.3 overs and lost the game by 82 runs at the hands of Strikers at Adelaide Oval.
The wicketkeeper-batsman played a blinder of a knock and equally supported by the other Strikers' batsman at the top-order which laid the platform for the massive win. Alex Carey has adjudged 'Player of the Match' for his blistering knock of 101 off just 62 deliveries, comprising 10 fours and 3 sixes.
Centurion Alex Carry said ''Very happy with the result. Hopefully this will give us the momentum. Agar was brilliant with the ball. We tried everything in the books, Jake was outstanding at the top. Great to have Nas back, no surprises what he did there (about the catch) but really unbelievable.''
''Will see if I go back in the auction (IPL). We are lucky how the draws panned out for us. Sydney Thunder have played very good cricket, so a couple of big games to go for us,'' he added.
